People
Our consultants are either MCIPS (Master qualified) or FCIPS (Fellow member), with at least 10 years experience of IT procurement, generally within blue chip organisations and large public bodies.
They negotiate day in day out with IT vendors, backed up by Turnstone methodology, model documents and the benchmark database.

Andrew Curtois
Andrew has a strong procurement background in both the public and private sectors, having worked for the Cabinet Office and NHS on the public side, and at the sharp end within a major manufacturing group. He is experienced across all the technical sub categories within IT, having dealt with all of the major suppliers, often leading a client team in collaborative projects.
His recent projects include tendering for a data centre outsource, negotiating a major new software application and the selection and purchase of a new SAN.
Andrew is a seasoned consultant and a good communicator at all levels, also being fluent in French and German. Outside of work Andrew is a keen tennis player and weightlifter, which can come in handy with tricky supplier negotiations.

Michelle Lansley
Michelle has worked with clients such as Hutchison 3G, NTL, and First Data International. She has strong IT procurement skills, having led procurement teams and mentored buyers.
She is experienced across all forms of IT Procurement, having conducted large-scale datacentre outsourcing tenders, telecoms consolidations, hardware negotiations, benchmarking studies and many more. She has worked on UK national and Global procurement deals.
One of her most recent successes was a complete renovation of her house, which took significant negotiation power and diplomacy.

Andrew Swift
Andrew started his procurement career at RiM Plc where he was instrumental in establishing the procurement function. He then went on to work for Thistle Hotels where he became Senior Buyer for IT and Telecoms. He managed a number of major projects including the procurement, installation and commissioning of 56 new PABX systems as well as two major call centres. He also drove the IT procurement strategy across 56 business sites which included consolidating spend, supplier base consolidation and introducing vendor performance.
Outside of work Andrew enjoys spending time with his family and is a keen golfer and surfer.

Dom Bower
Dom has 11yrs IT procurement experience within Local Government, Central Government, Transport, Banking, Telecoms, ISP, Utilities. He has worked with clients such as TFL, ODPM, BAA and AOL.

Steve Sutton
Steve has 20 years of IT procurement experience within industries such as Insurance, Investment Banking, and Telecoms. He is experienced in all forms of IT contract negotiation - Software, Consultancy, Hardware, Telecoms. He has also run IT Procurement training courses for BT and other clients.
He has worked with banks on reducing market intelligence costs and bespoke licence costs. He has helped telecoms clients to improve their IT Procurement processes. Projects have ranged from small one-off licence negotiations to global outsourcing contracts.
He enjoys walking and travel, and will be embarking on a camping trip to Morocco later this year. He is also a keen cricketer.

David Brook
One of the founding directors, David has worked at PwC and the Seacontainers group of companies. David's background is in consulting, IT delivery and process improvement. David's goal is to develop IT Procurement as an acknowledged and valued skill area for IT functions.
